It is theorized that healthy tissue is the direct result of electrical current freely flowing though the body. Cells store and release energy. When injury occurs, the injured area has a higher electrical resistance than surrounding tissue. Electrical balance is disrupted when the body is injured in a particular area. Higher resistance prevents electrical flow through the injured tissue delaying the normal healing process. Benefits of treatment include wound healing, reducing inflammation, improving range of motion, enhancing cell membrane transport, acute and chronic pain management.
A microcurrent treatment helps restore normal cellular activity allowing for results in reducing inflammation and improving muscle function.
